Here is a brief look at our recent comparative evaluation of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) and LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene):
EPDM: With its excellent weather and UV resistance , combined with extremely high resilience , it remains the top long-term choice for sealing gaskets and architectural waterproofing. The primary trade-off is its higher processing and production costs.
LDPE: Offering superb moisture resistance , chemical stability , and cost advantages , it is irreplaceable in packaging films and squeeze bottles. However, its low heat resistance remains its Achilles' heel.
